Costs and Payment
The costs of registering an EUTM are not high, particularly in light of the potentially substantial added value which a registered EUTM can bring to your business.

Official fees for one class are €850, with an additional €50 for the second class and an additional €150 for each class beyond the first two. Our professional fees for an application in one class are £200 (or $275 in USD or €250 in Euros). Our professional fees increase by £50 (or $75 in USD or €65 in Euros) for each class beyond the first one.

Our clients generally find payment by international credit card to be the most convenient and cost-effective method payment. We accept payment by Mastercard, Visa and American Express. For payment via credit card, we will need the usual details:

- Type of card. For example, Mastercard, Visa or American Express.

- Expiry date.

- Card number.

- CVV. This is the 3 digit security code on the reverse of the Mastercard/Visa card, or the 4 digit security code on the front of the American Express card.

The above fees relate to a smooth case, where EUIPO approves the mark first time around, and no third party opposes the mark. In that case, the above sums would cover the entire process,
all the way through to registration of the mark. In the event of refusals or oppositions, we would update you, and provide an estimate of the chances of successfully overcoming the obstacle, and the extra costs that would be incurred as a result.

What We Will Need From You...
Reif Marks is committed to making the EU Trademark filing process as simple as possible for you.

We are often able to file your mark for you on a same-day basis, once we have received from you the basic information that we need, and payment has been arranged.

In most cases, all we would need from you is:

- The type of entity that will own the mark. This will often by a company or corporation, but it can also be an individual.

- The name of the entity that will own the mark. For instance, this might be "John Smith", or "XYZ Company Ltd".

- Nationality. If the trademark will be owned by an individual, then we need to know the individual's nationality. For instance, "US citizen". Please note: the owner does not have to be a national of an EU country. All nationalities are welcomed. If the owner is a company or corporation, then we need to know where it was incorporated. For example, this might be "Delaware, USA". Please note: this is NOT the address of the company (which might be in a different State) - it is the place where the company was first set up.

- Address. This is where we want to know the full street address, including city, State (where applicable), ZIP code and country, of the owner of the mark.

- The products or services you will supply under the mark. A trademark must be limited to specific products or services, which must be defined at the time of filing the application. For example, "clothes", or "software". For this purpose, products and services are divided into 46 different "classes", under an internationally recognised classification system. Clothes would be in class 25; software would be in class 9. In order for us to be able to correctly classify your trademark application, we need to know what tupe of product or service you provide, or will provde, under the mark. You can read more about the classification system by following this link. Official fees, and our fees, increase with each class that is added, so if your core business can be classified ina single class, you will able to make your budget go further.
